1/18/2024 0 Comments Spirit shroud dnd 5e![]() It is a fair amount of soft control - being pushed 20' and slowed 10' means that if you can back off first, it is probable the average enemy won't be able to close in on you without Dashing. ![]() So doing this doesn't add anything to your damage, but it is funny. As an important note, you can cast Spirit Shroud without the feat for the +2d8 damage/round (it does, indeed, add on to your Spiritual Weapon as long as your SW is attacking a victim within 10' of you), so we're purely looking at getting the extra 10'-20' of push going on. Let's consider - Metamagic Adept is two Sorcery points, so you can do this little trick 2/day. Not a bad trade, as long as it gets the job done. However it's not like you're dipping Sorcerer.Įssentially you're trading an all-around Cleric power boost (a well as a bit of skill check and saves potential) for extra damage per round and crowd control. With Metamagic adept, you can use the buffed Sp.Shroud twice per long rest. Booming Blade being compatible with Spiritual Weapon on the same turn. Thunderous strike would then work once per attack, generally up to twice a turn. RAW, you would be able to cast Sp.Shroud with Transmuted and declare the Shroud's damage to be cold, which you change to lightning. Transmuted spell essentially mentions that it changes a damage type at the cost of 1 SP, but does not mention duration. Spiritual Weapon: " When you cast the spell, you can make a melee spell attack (.) " In addition, any creature of your choice that you can see that starts its turn within 10 feet of you has its speed reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn." Sp.Shroud: " Until the spell ends, any attack you make (.) This damage is radiant, necrotic, or cold (your choice when you cast the spell).
